INTERPOL Red Notices (public extracts)

INTERPOL's official View Red Notices page lists public extracts of Red Notices, defined as "a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action." INTERPOL says a Red Notice "is not an international arrest warrant" and that "The majority of Red Notices are restricted to law enforcement use only"; extracts are published at the requesting member country's request. Filters include names, nationality, gender, age range, wanted-by country and keyword, and the site displays up to 160 notices per search result. No account or key is needed to view it.

Coverage

Public extracts of Red Notices currently in circulation, published by the INTERPOL General Secretariat at the request of member countries or international tribunals. Records contain identity particulars, a physical description, wanted-by country and charges, with information "Published as provided by requesting entity". INTERPOL says "The Notices data on this website is updated every hour." Free history depth: current public extracts; retention of withdrawn notices is not stated. Delay: Not stated.

Verdict

For a security, compliance or news-monitoring agent this is the official public signal that a member country has asked INTERPOL for help locating a wanted person: context for fugitive and extradition stories next to sanctions lists. It is not a screening list: a Red Notice is not an arrest warrant, most notices are not public, and INTERPOL "does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or correct sequence of the information". The notice disclaimer limits the information to "its designated purpose" and says it cannot be used for any other or commercial purpose; the terms exclude wanted persons' personal data and pictures from general reuse permission and forbid data-mining tools without prior written permission. Signal Lab links only to INTERPOL's page and hosts no notice data; ask INTERPOL before any automated use.
