ReliefWeb API
The ReliefWeb API provides curated aid reports, disasters, jobs, training and reference data as JSON over HTTPS, with titles, dates, countries, sources, themes, formats, disaster links and attachment metadata. Read and search requests need a pre-approved appname on every URL; publishing additionally needs an API key and provider headers.
Coverage
Coverage follows ReliefWeb’s curated emergency-relief publishing and the documentation does not state one fixed geographic boundary, history start or update cadence. Search results can return at most 1,000 entries per call, with a maximum of 10,000 calls per day. Reports, disasters, jobs, training, countries, sources and taxonomy resources are available.
Verdict
This is an emergency-relief signal for disasters, situation reports, assessments, aid activity, jobs and training. Countries, dates, sources, themes and disaster relationships can support event monitoring and regional exposure analysis. It is a curated publishing stream, so reporting volume, timing and source coverage vary, and original-source rights can apply to individual materials. The site terms limit use to personal, non-commercial use and prohibit resale, redistribution, compilation and derivative works unless permission or more specific terms apply.
