World Bank Commodity Markets Pink Sheet
World Bank Commodity Markets Pink Sheet
The World Bank Pink Sheet provides monthly and annual nominal commodity prices plus commodity price indices in Excel workbooks. The monthly file contains a period column and 71 energy, fertilizer, food, grain, beverage, metal and raw-material price series with units and descriptions, and no key is needed.

Coverage
The monthly workbook spans January 1960 through September 2026 and says it is updated through 2 October 2026; the commodity page schedules the next update for 3 November 2026. The page also publishes annual prices, forecasts and report data files.
Verdict
A long-run global benchmark signal for commodity and agricultural input costs, including food, grains and fertilizers. These are benchmark prices in nominal US dollars, not local farm-gate prices or transaction-level flows. Missing observations are present and series definitions, sources or quality can change over time, so retain the description sheet and update date. Monthly releases can revise prior values.

- The checked monthly workbook is about 586 KB.
- Monthly data are nominal US-dollar series; the workbook states that monthly real-price series are not provided.

- The ellipsis character denotes missing values and becomes NaN through numeric conversion.
