UNCTAD Data Hub FDI Statistics
UN Trade and Development annual foreign-direct-investment statistics covering inward and outward flows and stocks by economy and group. The Data Centre exports selected data as CSV and entire tables as bulk files without a required registration, with measures, economies, years, units and status or note markers.

Coverage
The annual FDI table covers 1990-2025 and was published on 21 October 2026 in the checked release calendar. Coverage is global, with a particular provider focus on developing economies, and the data may be revised retroactively.
Verdict
A global capital-flow and cross-border-investment signal for comparing recipient and source economies over long horizons. Annual frequency and publication lag make it unsuitable as an immediate flow indicator. Net flows can be negative because of reverse investment or disinvestment, and revisions, estimation, gaps and economy-definition changes require careful note handling. The public Data Centre documents CSV and bulk downloads but not a stable direct file URL for unattended ingestion.
