FCDO UK Sanctions List
FCDO UK Sanctions List
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office publishes people, entities and ships designated or specified under UK sanctions regulations in keyless CSV, XML, ODS, ODT, HTML, text and PDF files. Fields include stable UK list IDs, names and aliases, regimes, designation source, sanctions imposed, reasons, addresses, dates, identity and company numbers, and vessel identifiers; no key is needed.

When no specific provider statement is supplied: "Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0."
Coverage
The publication began on 6 July 2020 and is now the only source for all UK sanctions designations; the former OFSI asset-freeze list stopped updating on 28 January 2026. The files cover UK autonomous and UN-derived designations and are updated when additions, amendments or revocations occur; no fixed schedule is stated.
Verdict
This is an official entity and vessel risk signal for UK sanctions designations, imposed measures and stated reasons. Names, aliases, identity fields and permanent IMO numbers support matching, but repeated rows and variations require grouping by Unique ID and do not by themselves establish identity. The public register contains personal details of designated people, and the page points users to regime-specific statutory guidance and notices for legal context. Track the report date and Last Updated field because entries can be amended, revoked or re-specified.

Limits
- Rate limit: Not stated.
- The files are current snapshots; the provider does not publish a fixed update interval.
- The former OFSI Consolidated List stopped updating on 28 January 2026 and is reference-only.
Quirks
- Skip the first CSV line after extracting its Report Date; the second line contains the column names.
- One Unique ID can occupy many rows because names, aliases, addresses and identifiers are expanded into separate combinations.
- Date of birth values can be partial, and one designated person under multiple regimes can have different Unique IDs.
- Use IMO number for vessel identity where populated because the provider says it remains unchanged when name, ownership or flag changes.
Terms and attribution
