RIPEstat Data API

“A User may not re-package, compile, re-distribute the RIPEstat Service and any (or all) of the RIPEstat Data. Use of the RIPEstat Service for commercial purposes, such as by providing paid services, products or any other derivatives that are based on the RIPEstat Service, or by incorporating the RIPEstat Data with other sources of data and packaging it as commercial product is not allowed unless permission to do so is granted in writing by the RIPE NCC.”

RIPEstat Data API
RIPE NCC's public RIPEstat Data API returns JSON about Internet number resources, routing, registration, geolocation, DNS, abuse contacts and related network measurements. Calls use endpoint-specific parameters and return common status, version, cache and data fields; no key is required.
Required Attribution:
For publicly available research results generated using RIPEstat, users must attribute RIPE NCC and the source of the RIPEstat data if different from RIPE NCC.
Coverage
RIPEstat supports network analysis across Europe and beyond, with resource queries for IP addresses, prefixes and autonomous systems. Historical availability differs by endpoint and can be checked through endpoint metadata. There is no request-count limit, but use is limited to eight concurrent requests per IP address and users planning more than 1,000 requests per day are asked to register.
Verdict
This API provides routing, registration and network-context signals for analysing autonomous systems, prefixes and addresses. Endpoint versions can be supported, deprecated or in development, and the service terms allow RIPE NCC to change or decommission data. Historical depth and fields vary by endpoint and some data sources carry additional terms. Repackaging and redistribution are prohibited, while commercial use requires written permission from RIPE NCC.
