NYSE Group (Intercontinental Exchange) publishes daily symbol mapping files on its public FTP site, ftp.nyse.com, as pipe-delimited .txt and .xml for NYSE, NYSE American, NYSE Arca, NYSE National, NYSE Texas and Global OTC, plus NYSE American and NYSE Arca options symbol maps. The equities files map each symbol to its CQS symbol, symbol index number, market, ticker designation, round lot, price scale code, system ID and security type. Reference data only, not prices.

Current trading day only in each folder (NYSESymbolMapping held NYSESymbolMapping_20261105.txt/.xml on Nov 5, 2026, about 13,300 rows); no history archive was seen in the checked folders. Files named CERT_ are certification-environment variants, not production. The .txt has no header row; field names come from the matching .xml tags. A published field specification was Not found on the FTP site.

Verdict

This is the exchange's own symbology for agents that join NYSE Group symbols to CQS symbols, round lots and security types before reading other NYSE files.
