The EU Fishing Fleet Register (managed by the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) lets users search all EU member-state fishing and aquaculture vessels by Flag State, Vessel Type, Vessel Name, CFR, UVI, IRCS, Registration Number, External Marking, MMSI, GT Tonnage, Length Overall, Main Power, and Latest Event/Event Date, with filters for period/history, flag state, vessel type, vessel identifiers, event type, LOA, GT and power (including a full-history option). A captcha-gated Export Data button and a fleet-ceilings Statistics page are also provided.

All EU member-state fishing vessels (and the aquaculture fleet); per-vessel event history (Latest Event, Event Date). Update frequency is not stated on the checked page.

Verdict

This is a vessel-identity check for EU fishing vessels — matching AIS MMSIs to registered CFR/IRCS identities and spotting flag changes — useful next to ICCAT's and WCPFC's RFMO vessel records. The European Commission's legal notice licenses EU-owned content on its sites under CC BY 4.0, but export from the register is captcha-protected with no documented API, so Signal Lab links to the public search rather than claiming a bulk-export right.
