Global Energy Monitor Oil Infrastructure
Global Energy Monitor Oil Infrastructure
Global Energy Monitor publishes project-level crude-oil and natural-gas-liquids transmission pipelines as Excel files, with routes supplied separately in GeoJSON and GeoPackage. Records include pipeline phase, owner, status and location, and the download form needs no account or key.

"Global Oil Infrastructure Tracker, Global Energy Monitor, June 2026 release."
Coverage
The tracker is worldwide and aims to cover transmission pipelines longer than 100 km while also adding shorter proposed and under-construction projects; distribution and gathering lines are excluded. It is updated annually, and coverage of smaller, operating NGL, idle, mothballed, cancelled and retired pipelines is less complete. The page labels March 2025 as its most recent release, while its download-form citation names a June 2026 release.
Verdict
This is an asset-level supply-route signal for oil and NGL pipeline construction, capacity corridors, ownership concentration and project status. It can support regional infrastructure buildout and disruption exposure features. Some routes are approximated or missing, small-project coverage varies, and operating NGL coverage is less complete than development coverage. Releases are annual, the provider page currently presents conflicting release dates, and reuse requires CC BY 4.0 attribution.
